Add a touch of handmade charm to your kitchen with this beautiful "scrappy hearts" casserole hot pad.

Use this quilted oversized 13 x 19-inch hot pad to protect and decorate your countertops or tabletop from hot dishes. It is perfect for a 9x13-inch casserole dish or smaller baking dishes.

I used complimentary high-quality quilting cotton fabrics from my stash to create the pieced hearts, giving this runner a  shabby chic farmhouse look. The colors include shades of pink blue, red, and white. The inside is made with one layer of Warm & Natural cotton batting and one layer of Insul-Brite, a heat-resistant lining. The reverse features a coordinating darker pink fabric, and the scrappy binding was machine-stitched on for extra durability.
