Add a touch of handmade charm to your kitchen with this beautiful “scrappy” casserole hot pad.

Use this quilted oversized hot pad measuring 14 x 20 inches to protect and decorate your countertops or tabletop from hot dishes. It is perfect for a 9x13-inch casserole dish, cookie sheets, or smaller baking dishes.

I used high-quality quilting cotton fabrics from the collection "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" by Sandy Gervais to create the Christmas Tree patchwork. The whimsical fabric prints feature traditional Christmas colors of red, green, white, and black. The inside is made with one layer of Warm & Natural cotton batting and one layer of Insul-Brite, a heat-resistant lining. The reverse features an adorable print from the same collection, and the binding was machine-stitched on for extra durability.
